{"id":13969,"date":"2018-11-05T23:59:27","date_gmt":"2018-11-05T12:59:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wwwip.com.au\/hcaold\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=13969"},"modified":"2018-11-06T00:16:11","modified_gmt":"2018-11-05T13:16:11","slug":"unveiling-cenotaph-dedicated-to-anzac-soldiers-of-indian-origin","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/wwwip.com.au\/hcaold\/hindufestival\/unveiling-cenotaph-dedicated-to-anzac-soldiers-of-indian-origin\/","title":{"rendered":"Unveiling Cenotaph dedicated to ANZAC Soldiers of Indian origin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By : Sanjeev Bhakri.<\/p>\n<p>You are invited to attend and be part of Remembrance Service and unveiling of the Cenotaph dedicated to ANZAC Soldiers of Indian origin as part of Armistice Centenary Commemoration on Saturday 10 November 2018 at 9.30 am for 10.00 am start<\/p>\n<p>It is a lesser known fact that Servicemen of Indian origin were part of ANZAV Forces.<br \/>\nThis Cenotaph will remember 12 soldiers identified from ANZAC Archives and other unidentified soldiers who have fought in ANZAC Forces.<br \/>\nThe memorial has been constructed with Armistice Centenary grant from Department of Veteran Affairs by Hindu Council of Australia with support of Federal Member of Berowra Mr Julian Leeser, Hornsby Council, Hornsby RSL-Sub Branch and other local community organisations.<br \/>\nIt will be the first memorial of its kind in Australia to remember the active contributions of Indian community during World War I .
