Beyond them, we gaze over&nbsp;the calm expanse of the ocean. Such are the two aspects of reality:&nbsp;the<em>&nbsp;lila<\/em>&nbsp;&#8211; manifested universe, and the&nbsp;<em>nitya &#8211;&nbsp;<\/em>the eternal reality. One is active, the other is not, but they are one and the same.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Body, not the Measuring Rod:&nbsp;<\/strong>How well can you judge a person from their external appearance? We only&nbsp;see their height, size, and clothing. Sometimes, of course, we can readily recognize those of a rough, devious nature with whom we&#8217;re naturally cautious. The ones we may not easily understand are the truly great, those deep, humble souls who do not care to reveal their stature or their attainments.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dangerous Words:<\/strong>&nbsp;As they say: &#8216;Words cut deeper than any blade.&#8217; Cutting words live on in the memory, often festering and giving rise to some terrible reaction as described in the Mahabharata, where King Drupada rejects a plea for help from his boyhood friend, Drona, a slight that fed into events leading to war.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><em>Learn more in the discussion.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Bhagavad Gita:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Join our exploration of a spiritual classic that&#8217;s enriched cultures throughout Asia over the centuries and inspired leading figures in modern times from Mohandas Gandhi, Albert Einstein, Carl Jung, and Aldous Huxley to astronaut Sunita Williams who took a copy of the Bhagavad Gita to the international space station.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re dipping into Swami Ranganathananda\u2019s 3 volume commentary: Universal Message of the Bhagavad Gita.
