{"id":24368,"date":"2022-04-08T20:19:03","date_gmt":"2022-04-08T10:19:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wwwip.com.au\/hcaold\/?p=24368"},"modified":"2022-04-08T20:19:03","modified_gmt":"2022-04-08T10:19:03","slug":"faith-communities-meet-alp-and-ask-for-a-religious-affairs-council-as-a-part-of-a-ministerial-portfolio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wwwip.com.au\/hcaold\/faith-communities-meet-alp-and-ask-for-a-religious-affairs-council-as-a-part-of-a-ministerial-portfolio\/","title":{"rendered":"Faith communities meet ALP and ask for a Religious Affairs Council as a part of a Ministerial Portfolio"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Faith representatives from major faiths including Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Judaism and Hinduism met NSW state ALP leadership to discuss common matters that are important to all faiths.<\/p>\n<p>The issues taken up during the meeting included:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; A representative group (eg Religious Affairs Council) that is part of a Ministerial Portfolio at a Cabinet level, in order to give the faith groups a united voice to the Government.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The Security and Wellbeing Proposal, and funding to enable it to happen.
