Stealing Hindu Intellectual Property, they do not hesitate to rename and repackage so that they can sell it back to India for immense profits. Off course, they will leave no chance to tell Indians to stop their superstitious ways and to adopt the new scientific knowledge which &#8220;they&#8221; have &#8220;invented&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Following has been already digested or appropriated by West. Some of the Western academics don\u2019t believe that they belong to India.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yoga Nidra &nbsp;&nbsp;AS &nbsp;Lucid Dreaming<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Nadi Shodhana AS Alternate Nostrils Breathing<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Vipassana &nbsp;AS Mindfulness.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The latest addition to this list is<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pranamyam AS Cardiac Coherence Breathing<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Several researchers have reported that pranayama techniques are beneficial in treating a range of <a title=\"Stress-related disorders\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Stress-related_disorders\">stress-related disorders<\/a>.<sup id=\"cite_ref-29\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pranayama#cite_note-29\">[29]<\/a> <\/sup>But the latest attempt has taken the appropriation too far. An American magazine &#8220;Scientific American&#8221; in its article titled \u201cProper Breathing Brings Better health\u201d termed \u201cPranayama\u201d as cardiac coherence breathing. (15 January 2019). The article gives us an idea about how West is so sophisticated in stealing knowledge from ancient cultures particularly Hinduism.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_15073\" style=\"width: 649px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15073\" class=\"wp-image-15073 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/wwwip.com.au\/hcaold\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Pranayama-640px-Lotus_Pose_.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"639\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wwwip.com.au\/hcaold\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Pranayama-640px-Lotus_Pose_.jpg 639w, https:\/\/wwwip.com.au\/hcaold\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Pranayama-640px-Lotus_Pose_-250x141.jpg 250w, https:\/\/wwwip.com.au\/hcaold\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Pranayama-640px-Lotus_Pose_-150x85.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 639px) 100vw, 639px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-15073\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Sadhak Anshit practicing Pr\u0101\u1e47\u0101y\u0101ma (Wikipedia)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Pr\u0101\u1e47\u0101y\u0101ma is mentioned in verse 4.29 of the <a title=\"Bhagavad Gita\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bhagavad_Gita\">Bhagavad G\u012bt\u0101<\/a>.<sup id=\"cite_ref-11\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pranayama#cite_note-11\">[11]<\/a><\/sup>&nbsp;According to <a title=\"Bhagavad-G\u012bt\u0101 As It Is\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bhagavad-G%C4%ABt%C4%81_As_It_Is\">Bhagavad-G\u012bt\u0101 As It Is<\/a>, <i>pr\u0101\u1e47\u0101y\u0101ma<\/i> is translated to &#8220;trance induced by stopping all breathing&#8221;, also being made from the two separate Sanskrit words, <i>pr\u0101\u1e47a<\/i> and <i>\u0101y\u0101m<\/i>.<sup id=\"cite_ref-12\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pranayama#cite_note-12\">[12]<\/a><\/sup>&nbsp;Pranayama is the fourth &#8220;limb&#8221; of the eight limbs of <a title=\"Ashtanga vinyasa yoga\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ashtanga_vinyasa_yoga#Eight_Limbs_of_Ashtanga\">Ashtanga Yoga<\/a> mentioned in verse 2.29 in the <a title=\"Yoga Sutras of Patanjali\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Yoga_Sutras_of_Patanjali\">Yoga Sutras of Patanjali<\/a>.<sup id=\"cite_ref-Taimni,_p._205_14-0\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pranayama#cite_note-Taimni,_p._205-14\">[14]<\/a><\/sup><sup id=\"cite_ref-15\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pranayama#cite_note-15\">[15]<\/a><\/sup> Patanjali, a Hindu Rishi, discusses his specific approach to pranayama in verses 2.49 through 2.51, and devotes verses 2.52 and 2.53 to explaining the benefits of the practice.<sup id=\"cite_ref-16\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pranayama#cite_note-16\">[16]&nbsp;<\/a><\/sup>Many yoga teachers advise that pranayama should be part of an overall practice that includes the other limbs of Patanjali&#8217;s Raja Yoga teachings, especially <a title=\"Yamas\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Yamas\">Yama<\/a>, <a title=\"Niyama\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Niyama\">Niyama<\/a>, and <a title=\"Asana\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Asana\">Asana<\/a>.<sup id=\"cite_ref-Iyengar_18-0\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pranayama#cite_note-Iyengar-18\">[18]<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n<p>\u201cPranayama\u201d&nbsp;a department of Yogic science practiced and documented 5000 years back ( even 15,000 years back) by Rishis is not even acknowledged by the author of the article. They think our knowledge is globalized by West in the same way we consume inventions of the West. But it\u2019s a very na\u00efve argument. West has created an eco system and mechanism in which their knowledge system is Well protected and patented by international norms. Unless West does not give a new name and fits into their framework native wisdom is not recognized in academia and media. Whereas Hindus were generous in sharing their health techniques freely from millennium never thought they will struggle in proving things which belong to them. In fact in a westernized framework of Yoga and other techniques Indian scholars, insiders and practitioners are blatantly ignored. So our own knowledge will be repackaged and exported back to us at an extra price and conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Many of our practices are being called to be Biofeedback systems. According to<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Biofeedback#History\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"> <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Wikipedia<\/span><\/a> Biofeedback systems have been known in India and some other countries for millennia. Ancient Hindu practices like yoga and Pranayama (breathing techniques) are essentially biofeedback methods. Many yogis and sadhus have been known to exercise control over their physiological processes.
