Dusshera

Dusshera is a major Hindu festival celebrated at the end of Navratri every year. It celebrates Sri Rama’s victory over Ravana. Towering effigies of Ravana are burnt with fireworks symbolizing the triumph of good over evil. Dusshera begins the preparation for Deepavali, the festival of lights, one of India’s most important and widely celebrated festivals.
