Sabine Baker is a Research Fellow at QUT\u2019s Centre for Childhood Nutrition Research. He leads the \u2018Feeding Families in Tough Times\u2019 (FFiTT) program of research, which is a collaboration between key stakeholders in food insecurity, academics and people with lived experience that aims to develop solutions to food insecurity.<\/p>\n

Feeding Families in Tough Times \u2013 Woolworths Centre for Childhood Nutrition Research (qut.edu.au)<\/a><\/p>\n They are currently running an Australia-wide anonymous online survey to understand more about how families manage on a tight budget, how this impacts parents and children (including child development, nutrition and health) and most importantly, what can be done to improve the situation for families in Australia, both in terms of services and support and in terms of policy changes (decrease the cost of living, increase minimum wage and social security payments, more affordable housing, improve DFV support, mental health support etc). We are hoping to reach as many families as possible, including families who may be on lower incomes but do not struggle to put food on the table. We are specifically looking for\u00a0parents or carers of children between 2-12 years<\/strong>.
